Tracking storms and a rush of cool air
TODAY: Showers and storms will spread across the region this morning, keeping highs in the 60s to low 70s at the warmest. An isolated strong storm with potential for damaging winds is possible. Rain won't last all day, as a cold front will sweep us clear of clouds by this afternoon, leaving a window of sunshine before more clouds arrive tonight. Temperatures behind the front will cool quickly, as we fall into the 50s by sunset with a stout westerly breeze.
TONIGHT: Winds overnight into Saturday morning may gust as high as 20-30 mph.
EXTENDED: We'll start in the low 50s, and only reach mid-50s for highs on Saturday, if we warm at all. Clouds will be thick, and winds breezy from the north, keeping us cool. Sunday is mostly cloudy as well, but we'll have a better chance at peeks of sunshine. Temperatures are still expected in the 50s Sunday. More sunshine and temperatures in the 60s are expected early next week, but rain arrives as soon as late Wednesday into Thursday, ahead of another low pressure system.
