Moberly man sentenced to five consecutive life sentences for child sex crimes
HUNTSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Moberly man who was found guilty of more than a dozen charges related to child sex crimes was sentenced on Tuesday.
Scotty Gene Reynolds, 47, was found guilty on June 15 of two counts of first-degree statutory rape, six counts of first-degree statutory sodomy, one count of first-degree child molestation, four counts of second-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree statutory sodomy. He was sentenced on Tuesday to five consecutive life sentences, according to Randolph County Prosecutor Stephanie Luntsford.
The case was tried in Linn County following a change of venue in 2020. There were six victims in the case, according to a press release from Luntsford. Police investigated the case in 2019.
Reynolds is currently in the Randolph County Jail, according to jail records.
