86-year-old woman dies in Saline County crash

SALINE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

An 86-year-old woman died Friday in a crash in Saline County on Highway 65, just north of Route UU, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica – driven by Connie Maeberry, 68, of Dawn – was heading northbound and went off the road. The vehicle hit a field entrance and overturned, the report states.

Carolyn Maeberry, of Dawn, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Saline County coroner. She was wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.

Connie Maeberry and Mary Rounkles, 74, of Tina, suffered serious injuries and were flown to University Hospital in Columbia, according to the report. Connie Maeberry was wearing a seatbelt, while Rounkles was not.
