Mizzou falls 1-0 to Arkansas, drops third straight SEC contest

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou soccer team lost its third consecutive conference match on Thursday night, after losing to No. 7 Arkansas 1-0 at Audrey J. Walton Stadium. The Razorbacks outshot the Tigers 13-7 in the contest.

Arkansas' Ava Tankersley scored the lone goal of the match in the 13th minute on a penalty kick. Mizzou nearly tied the match with a couple of close shots on goal in the second half but were unable to find the back of the net.

Mizzou goalkeeper Bella Hollenbach had a good performance, saving seven of the Razorbacks' nine shots on goal.

Up next - The Tigers will head to Oxford, Mississippi, to face Ole Miss on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m.
