Columbia water customers can expect to see price increase in November
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Columbia City Council on Monday authorized the sale of bonds from the 2018 water ballot initiative.
The sale will result in an increase on the base water charge for residents starting with the November billing cycle, according to a post on the city’s website.
Residential customers will see a $2 per month per month base charge increase from $10 to $12, while commercial customers will see a rate increase based on their water meter size.
The bond sale will help facilitate the McBaine Water Treatment Plant improvement project. Columbia Water and Light expects the sale to be finalized next month, the post reads.
