Pets die from Cole County mobile home fire, no people hurt

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

No injuries were reported in a Thursday morning fire at Whitton Heights Mobile Home and RV Park in Cole County, but a few pets died, according to Cole County fire officials.

One of the mobile homes was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, according to Cole County Fire Protection District Deputy Chief. An estimate for damage was not available.

An investigation for the start of the fire is underway.

The number of affected pets was not available.
