Tracking near average temperatures and a chance for weekend showers

TODAY: Temperatures today will largely mirror what we saw on Wednesday, so expect highs back near 80 again this afternoon. Skies overall will be mostly sunny, with abundant sunshine this morning, and partly cloudy skies this afternoon. Some fog is possible near bodies of water this morning, much like yesterday.

TONIGHT: Skies will again clear overnight, and temperatures will once more fall into the 50s. This may reintroduce the chance for fog.

EXTENDED: Partly Cloudy skies are forecast for Friday, as high clouds return early Friday afternoon. We'll be about as warm on Friday, with highs near 80. Clouds returning late Friday will precede a chance for rain on Saturday. Weak moisture along the front will result in a cloudy day with a chance for light showers likely in the first half of the day on Saturday. Rain chances are best in the west and will taper with eastward extent. Less than a quarter of an inch is expected at best. Expect cooler temperatures, in the 70s for highs. We'll stay in the 70s on Sunday under mostly sunny skies, before warming back into the 80s early next week. Chances for rain may return as soon as Wednesday as better moisture works in ahead of some low pressure.
