Tracking cooler than average temperatures and more dry time

TODAY: Starting in the 50s this morning, temperatures are crisp and fall-like. Today, we'll be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with highs in the upper 70s.

TONIGHT: Any clouds that develop today will be driven by the sun and are expected to clear tonight, and we'll fall back into the low 50s again.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will be slightly warmer over the next few days, as we pull in some southerly wind as high pressure moves away. Still, highs are forecast in the upper 70s, to just near 80. Temperatures will generally remain cooler than average through the next week. We're generally sunny each day, aside from Saturday, where we have a better chance for clouds, and possibly a shower or two along another cold front that will reinforce that fall feel. Timing is still uncertain, but whatever rain we see will be light. A warmer pattern returns by the middle of next week, just in time to push temperatures back above average by the beginning of Fall.
