Tracking showers that make for a dreary Monday
TODAY: Fall weather arrives in mid-Missouri today, along a cold front. Off and on showers will arrive for some before sunrise this morning, and last into the overnight hours. Rain chances are high, but amounts are quite low. Expect no more than a tenth of an inch in any given location over the course of the day, however locally higher amounts are possible. This is as some isolated thunderstorms may come within the larger cluster of showers. Overall, it's a cloudy and dreary day, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s.
TONIGHT: Overnight, showers will taper off and generally come to an end by sunrise Tuesday, where temperatures will fall into the high 50s.
EXTENDED: Tuesday may start with some low and stubborn cloud cover, but clearing skies through the day will yield more sunshine. Expect temperatures to be cooler behind Monday's Front, with highs expected in the mid-70s. Each day through the week is much the same, with sunshine and mid-70s in the forecast. Each morning, temperatures will fall into the low 50s, with a few upper 40s possible, especially in northern, and lower lying areas. Another cold front will approach by Saturday, but very limited moisture is keeping rain chances off the board for now.
