Tracking more mild days ahead

TODAY: Wednesday we welcome a noticeable cool down behind last night's front. A cold front is passing through early this morning, and will drop most of us into the mid-60s before the sun rises and we start to warm again. That warm-up will have to fight north winds, and some clouds. We may start mostly sunny, but some low clouds will circle back in from the north bringing better chances for partly to mostly cloudy skies at times to those north of I-70. This does not mean most of the day will be cloudy, though, as chances are good that you'll see broken skies at times. Sun is more prominent, though, south of I-70, where mostly sunny skies are forecast. We'll be dry, but north winds and clouds will keep temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s today, along with lowering our humidity levels.

TOMORROW: Thursday is another day of northerly wind, but we'll have more sunshine, which will keep highs a few degrees warmer.

EXTENDED: We'll have near or below average temperatures the next 7 days, with temperatures forecast in the low-to-mid 80s through Sunday, with 70s possible early next week. Sunshine will be the theme for most of the forecast, but on Friday we'll be tracking an upper level disturbance that brings clouds, and by Sunday, another wave of moisture will arrive, raising rain chances and increasing cloud cover. This will increase rain chances and drop temperatures into Monday and Tuesday.
