Tracking mild weather ahead of another wave of warmth

TONIGHT: It's been a mild day with more pleasant weather ahead, before heat returns. This evening, temperatures will fall into the 70s around sunset, with some high clouds overhead and a light variable breeze.

TOMORROW: Winds will pick up from the south early Tuesday, before a cold front switches them by mid-morning. This cold front will not do much to affect our temperatures, in fact we'll be a bit a tad warmer thanks to less northeasterly influence in our winds. Still, expect highs in the mid-80s, which is cooler than average. Some spotty showers are possible behind the front Tuesday night.

EXTENDED: While the impacts from the front are delayed, we will feel a bit cooler on Wednesday, with highs forecast in the low 80s. Surface high pressure will set in Wednesday, and by Wednesday night, we'll have strong radiational cooling drop us into the 50's by Thursday morning. As the surface high pushes east, we'll warm under south winds into the mid-to-upper 80s on Friday, but things don't stop there. We'll set up under another heat dome over the weekend and into next week, with 90s in the forecast Saturday through most of next week. While this may bring back harsh memories of last week's heat wave, it's important to note that humidity is not forecast to be quite as unbearable.
