Hospitalizations and deaths from COVID-19, while still low, are on the rise as the fall gets closer.

Companies are working on vaccines that will target the new variants that are driving that increase in coronavirus cases with some saying the new shot could be ready in weeks.

However, millions of people remain resistant to any COVID-19 vaccine.
