Tracking back to back days of dangerous heat over Missouri

TONIGHT: I'm tracking temperatures only cooling down into the high 70s, and strong humidity overnight that will last into tomorrow. Mostly clear skies are expected across mid-MO.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking our second Weather Alert Day of the week, as temperatures get into the high 90s. The main thing that will be causing problems is the strong and widespread humidity tomorrow, causing chances for the heat index to get into the 110-115 range. There will be mostly sunny skies again through the majority of the day.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking Weather Alert Days for both Tuesday and Wednesday, as temperatures reach into the high 90s and low 100s. The heat index will be in the 105-110 range as humidity slowly breaks down over the course of the whole week. Thursday we could still see that heat index get into the 105 range, as we are still expected to get in the high 90s and low 100s for temperatures, which is why the NWS has an excessive heat warning for all of Missouri lasting until Thursday night. Friday will be our last day spent in the high 90s, as we'll see some relief in the weekend thanks to a cold front. This will drop our temperatures into the high 80s by Saturday, and low 80s by Sunday.
