Tracking the beginning of a week filled with dangerous heat

TONIGHT: I'm tracking heat index values potentially climbing into the low 100s before sundown, then temperatures dropping into the low to mid 70s overnight. Winds will be 8-12 mph with gusts up to 20 from the SW, shifting NW.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking our first Weather Alert Day of the week, as temperatures warm up into the high 90s and low 100s across mid-MO. With the help of humidity and sunny skies, I'll be tracking the heat index getting into the 105-110 range in the afternoon hours.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking Weather Alert Days for Monday through Wednesday as the dangerous heat sticks around. Every day through this time period will be seeing temperatures in the high 90s to low 100s and heat index values staying in the 105-110 range, which can be dangerous for even healthy adults to have long exposure to. With this, skies will be mostly sunny every day, humidity will be sticking around, and mid-MO will only be able to cool down into the low to mid 70s overnight. This intense heat could stick around through Thursday, as temperatures will still be in the high 90s and possibly low 100s. Luckily, it does seem like we could see a little bit of relief by Saturday with a bit of a cooldown.
