Tracking strong to severe storms with possible flash flooding
Today: Showers and storms continue to make their way into eastern portions of Mid-Missouri throughout the early morning hours leading to flash flooding across portions of the region. Showers and storms throughout the morning remain until closer to noon where the region begins to dry. This afternoon sees partly cloudy skies with highs reaching into the upper 80s.
Tonight: A secondary round begins after 5 PM this afternoon lasting into the overnight hours with the potential for strong to severe storms once again. The main impacts includes winds up to 60 MPH, hail up to 1" in diameter and a low but not zero chance for a tornado. Overnight lows cool to the lower 70s.
Extended: Scattered showers and storms remains throughout Mid-Missouri throughout the morning hours before weakening and pushing east by Thursday afternoon. Friday sees isolated chances of storms remaining mostly dry with highs into the upper 80s before more chances of scattered showers and storms Saturday.
