Phelps County man charged with child porn possession

ROLLA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Phelps County man has been charged with four counts of possessing child pornography.

Jarod Neil Reith, 26, is being held without bond at the Phelps County Jail. A court date has not been set.

The Phelps County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce about a Google account belonging to Reith, according to the probable cause statement. A search warrant led to 29 images of child pornography being located

Another search warrant was conducted on a hard drive  Monday, which was owned by Reith -- according to the statement – which contained more files.

A search warrant was then conducted at Reith’s residence on Tuesday, where Reith allegedly admitted to searching and downloading child pornography, accord to the probable cause statement.
