JEFFERSON CITY, (KMIZ)

Two people were hurt after a crash between three cars and a semi-truck Thursday night.

The Jefferson City Police Department said the crash happened at 8:57 p.m. at Highway 54 and Route W.

The crash report states that Camryn Swinfard, 19, and Cody Faingnaert, 35, were both stopped in traffic near a work zone when Martha Nolt, 65, hit the back of Swinfard's car.

Swinfard's car went off the side of the road before hitting a median cable. Nolt's car then hit the semi-truck before catching fire, according to the release.

Another car was reported to have minor damage after it was hit by debris from Nolt's car.

Jefferson City police said Nolt and Swinfard were taken to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Both cars were towed from the scene.

Faingnaert and the other driver, Katelynn Smith, 21, were not hurt.

All four drivers were reported to be wearing seatbelts.
