Search party Sunday morning for Columbia missing person

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Missing and friends of a missing man are holding a search party Sunday morning.

The Columbia Police Department is asking for the public's help in searching for a missing person. Daniel Lee Thompson, 41, from Columbia was reported missing July 7. He was last heard from on June 26, according to Columbia Police.

Missouri Missing and some friends of Thompson's from the VA Hospital are holding a search party for him Sunday morning at Rocky Forks Conservation area. The search starts at 8 a.m., but people are asked to arrive by 7:30 to help.

Thompson is about 5'8 with brown eyes and black hair and beard. His car was found abandoned in the rocky forks conservation area.
