2 firefighters are seriously injured after being shot at a fire station in Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Two firefighters in Alabama are in serious condition after they were shot while on duty at a Birmingham fire station. Police say the shooter entered the station Wednesday through an open bay door just after the two firefighters started their shifts. At least one other firefighter was in the station during the attack and was not hurt. Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmond says investigators believe the two firefighters were targeted, but did not have an exact motive.
