Tracking a mild weekend ahead of a warm-up

TONIGHT: Skies tonight will clear this evening, enough for a viewable sunset for most, before more clouds return after midnight. Temperatures fall into the low 60s by sunrise, with some valleys possibly recording 50s.

TOMORROW: Skies are partly cloudy to start Sunday, allowing for enough sunshine to warm us into the mid-80s. Skies should be mostly sunny by mid-afternoon.

EXTENDED: High pressure keeps us mostly sunny on Monday, allowing for temperatures to return to the 90s. As high pressure exits to the east, our surface and low level winds will turn more southerly. This warms us and blows in better moisture. Expect low-to-mid 90s, with a chance for thunderstorms, especially late in the day, on Tuesday. Daily chances for storms are driven by similarly warm and humid conditions, with upper level disturbances rolling through. Confidence is low on exactly how these disturbances will reflect on timing and placement of rain chances, but there is moderate confidence in rain chances from Wednesday through Friday, with best chances coming near a trough of low pressure on Friday.
