Tracking cooler than average temperatures before weekend showers and storms

Today: Afternoon highs increase into the mid to lower 80s as skies remain partly cloudy. An isolated shower or two remains possible in southwestern portions of mid-Missouri near Camden and Pulaski counties.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the lower 60s as winds remain out of the northwest with increasing cloud cover to mostly cloudy skies.

Extended: Friday evening sees an increase in the chances of scattered showers and storms lasting throughout Saturday until Sunday morning before drier conditions prevail into next week as highs will look to increase once again towards 90 degrees.
