Tracking a hot and breezy Monday

THIS MORNING: Winds will be calm to start, but pick back up to near 20 mph by late morning. Temperatures remain mild climbing through the 60s and 70s early in the day.

TODAY: Winds from the northwest could gust up to 30 mph again this afternoon. Highs climb to near 90 degrees under sunny skies.

EXTENDED: Tuesday is our last fully dry day this week, and winds relax as high pressure briefly slides through. Breezes kick up again into Wednesday, this time from the south, bringing in more moisture for a chance of showers early in the day. More on-and-off rain is possible late week, but we'll be tracking extreme heat by that point as well. Highs on Thursday and Friday are trending into the upper 90s as a heat dome slides to our south, but this intense heat should be short-lived. Low pressure builds to our east into the weekend, pushing through a cold front and bringing chances for relieving showers.
