Tracking seasonal temperatures early this week, warming trend on the way

TODAY: Mostly sunny conditions will push highs to near 90 despite a cold front sweeping through the region. This front will bring down the mugginess, though, and increase afternoon winds to 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

TOMORROW: Monday is likely the mildest day of the week as we settle into cooler air behind the cold front, but highs are still set for the upper 80s. Expect another breezy day with winds out of the northwest gusting up to 30 mph.

EXTENDED: As the work week continues, so does the summer heat, as temperatures are reaching high 80s to low 90s every day. That isn't taking the heat index into account, which could make us feel like we are more in the mid to high 90s with the sun. As we head into Wednesday, a trend starts up for slight chances of rain each day going into the weekend. Especially high temperatures are possible by Thursday and Friday as we could soar to the mid to upper 90s.
