Tracking Father’s Day showers and storms
TODAY: A line of storms will track from south to north during the morning hours, bringing heavy downpours and high winds. More scattered to isolated activity is expected this afternoon, with rain chances shifting south and east by the late half of Sunday. Still, expect a soggy day with the threat of heavy storms, so overall poor conditions to head outside.
TOMORROW: Rain will clear quickly early Monday, and dry weather sets in for the rest of the forecast period. Highs jump right back to the upper 80s, the coolest day of the week ahead.
EXTENDED: High pressure sat overhead will keep conditions dry through late week, ushering in more above-average temperatures. Every day this week sees a chance to reach 90 degrees, though mugginess remains low. The upper-level pattern could break down by next weekend, finally opening us up to rain chances again.
