Tracking storms beginning late Saturday, lasting through Father’s Day

Today: Most of Saturday remains dry, allowing highs to peak near 90 degrees. By this evening, scattered showers and storms push in from the west, but will likely hold off for most of the area until near sundown. These could bring heavy downpours, gusty winds, and possibly small hail as they move in, but storms will be weakening as they move into more stable air over eastern Missouri.

Tomorrow: Father's Day will see steady rain chances with showers possible in the early morning. Storms could redevelop by the afternoon but will remain scattered and subsevere. Rain chances steadily shift east, but we won't dry out completely until early Monday.

Extended: Rain totals remain between a quarter to half inch for most, with locally higher amounts from heavier storms. Looking past the weekend, high pressure over the Midwest squashes rain chances for all of next week. Highs will quickly rebound back to near, or at 90 degrees by Monday, a trend that'll last the entire workweek.
