JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol has canceled its advisory after David Earl Scott, 75 was found safe by law enforcement.

Original: The Cole County Sheriff's Office issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory for a missing Russellville man who was traveling to southeastern Tennessee.

David Earl Scott, 75, was on his way to visit family in Copperhill, Tennessee, on Thursday night and didn't arrive, according to the advisory.

Authorities describe Scott as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 225 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes. The department said he has cognitive impairment and confusion.

Scott is last believed to be in Tennessee, but his route of travel is unknown. His vehicle is a white 2015 GMC Terrain with Missouri license plate number VF3P0A.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the sheriff's office at 573-634-9160.
