Tracking Saturday evening storms lasting through Father’s Day Sunday
Tonight: Overnight lows cool into the lower 60s with partly cloudy skies. Winds remain out of the east at 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow: Much of Saturday remains dry with highs peaking near 90 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Closer to Saturday evening around sunset, scattered showers and storms will begin to push in from the west. The primary impacts of these incoming storms will be heavy downpours, gusty winds, and the possibility of some smaller hail in southwestern portions of Central Missouri. Throughout the late overnight hours, these showers and storms will become more widespread.
Extended: Sunday sees continuous scattered showers and storms from the same low pressure system which eventually pushes to the southeast by Monday morning leading to a drier week for next week thanks to a parked high pressure system over much of the Midwest. Highs return near or at 90 degrees next week after a slight cool down Sunday where highs reach into the lower 80s.
