Tracking a dry and warm Friday, before weekend showers and storms

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the mid-60s as skies remain mostly clear. Winds remain out of the west at 5 mph.

Tomorrow: Friday welcomes partly cloudy skies as highs return near 90 degrees. An isolated shower or two are possible bordering Mid-Missouri, but for the most part the region remains dry.

Extended: Saturday sees increasing cloud cover with scattered showers and storms beginning closer to sunset. Highs remain into the lower 90s. As Saturday night persist, scattered showers and storms become more widespread with heavy downpours, lighting, and gusty winds being the main impacts. These showers and storms linger into Sunday become scattered by the afternoon hours exiting before Monday. The first half of next week sees increased sunshine and rebounding temperatures into the upper 80s and lower 90s.
