Tracking warming temperatures before weekend showers and storms

Today: Temperatures warm into the mid-80s with winds out of the northwest at 5-10 mph. Skies remain partly cloudy.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the low 60s with mostly clear sky conditions with winds switching out of the west at 4-8 mph.

Extended: Thursday sees highs return near 90 degrees with mostly sunny sky conditions. Friday afternoon welcomes the return of much needed rain as showers and storms enter Mid-Missouri. A cold front slides through Saturday into Sunday fueling more widespread chances of showers and storms as temperatures cool to the lower 80s by Sunday.
