Tracking relieving rainfall over the weekend

Today: The first chances for showers in our western counties begins late morning, with scattered storms pushing east into the afternoon. Temperatures still warm into the upper 80s, except in areas that cool under rainfall. Rain chances grow overnight as moisture in the atmosphere peaks.

Tomorrow: Showers continue into Sunday morning, and afternoon storms are possible as a cold front pushes south. Rain mostly comes to an end by the evening aside from isolated downpours. Rain totals this weekend will hit 0.5" for most, and up to an inch or more rain under heavier downpours.

Extended: Highs cool to the 70s Sunday and Monday, with a slow warmup the rest of the week. Next week is looking dry, with low chances for rain midweek, but these systems are currently tracking to the south of us. Expect temperatures to get back up into the high 80s by the end of the week.
