Renegades split doubleheader with Prospects

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Renegades came away from a Friday night doubleheader with one win and one loss against the Des Moines Prospects. JC took game one 2-0, but fell in game two 21-1.

In game one, Jeff City's two runs came in the third off of a sacrifice fly from Andrew Imgarten and in the fourth with a two-out RBI double by California alum Calen Kruger.

Game two was a different story with Des Moines going up 7-0 in the fifth before the the Renegades managed to get on the board. The sole run of the game came off of an RBI single by Adam Wade. The Prospects put together 12 runs in the seventh inning to cruise to a victory.

The Renegades fall to 5-8 on the season. Up next, they host the St. Joseph Mustangs Sunday at Ernie Vivion Field at 7 p.m.
