Saline County man seriously hurt in Morgan County motorcycle crash

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Sweet Springs man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash Sunday in Morgan County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as a 2004 Harley Davidson – driven by Terry Zimmerschied, 55 -- was heading southbound on Route W, south of Marvin Cutoff.

Zimmerschied failed to negotiate a curve, causing the motorcycle to travel off the right side of the roadway. The Harley overturned and Zimmerschied was ejected.

Zimmerschied was brought to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the crash report.

The Harley had moderate damage.
