Tracking isolated storms with plenty of dry time in-between

TODAY: Thursday is another day where most of us will have mostly dry conditions, even as isolated storms dot the radar map through the afternoon. Lightning and heavy rain will be an isolated risk this afternoon just about areawide. Feel free to hit the pool, as temperatures will reach near 90, but keep an eye on the radar.

TONIGHT: Overnight, thunderstorm activity will die down, and skies will clear. Temperatures will fall into the 60s.

EXTENDED: Friday is a forecast identical to Thursday, with highs near 90 and isolated afternoon thunderstorms. Saturday is looking just as warm, but maybe a hair warmer as drier air moves in from the east, making it easier to climb temperatures more quickly. This will limit afternoon rain chances, but if moisture is slow to leave, we'll have a chance for storms, especially in the west. Temperatures will remain near 90, with mostly dry conditions forecast each day through the middle of next week. Daily chances for storms will be low but not zero. Overall the message for the next 7 days is that despite daily chances for rain, the average person will still encounter plenty of hot and dry conditions, as rain chances are very spotty.
