St. Elizabeth baseball punches ticket to state championship
OZARK, Mo. (KMIZ)
The St. Elizabeth baseball team is headed to its fifth-straight Class 1 state championship game, excluding the canceled 2020 season, after a 9-0 win against Cooter in the state semifinal on Monday.
The Hornets came in as the defending state champions in Class 1, after beating Oran by seven runs in 2022. The team has had an impressive run over the years under head coach Caleb Heckemeyer. You can find a full list of the Hornets' recent finishes below.

The St. Elizabeth bats heated up early and often in the semifinal win, however, one of the biggest highlights came on the hill. Pitcher Caleb Oligschlaeger threw a complete-game shutout, going the full seven innings with seven strikeouts.
