QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should the government regulate children’s social media use?

The U.S. Surgeon General warned Monday that social media use could cause harm to children and teens.

The warning was a thought held by many Americans for a long time after seeing the kind of effects social media can have on children and their self-image. Now, some governments are starting to regulate how children use social media -- Utah now requires parental consent for kids to sign up for social media platforms.
