Another fraternity member in MU hazing case takes plea deal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One of the fraternity members accused in the alleged hazing incident that left Danny Santulli disabled took a plea deal on Monday.

Harrison Reichman -- 21, of Kansas City -- became the third Fiji member to plead guilty to a misdemeanor. He pleaded guilty to giving alcohol to a minor. He was initially charged with hazing – life endangerment. He was sentenced to two years of unsupervised probation, along with 100 hours of community services and 15 days of shock jail time.

Reichman is currently in the Boone County Jail. He was also ordered not to drink alcohol or visit any business serving alcohol. No photo was available.

Another accused fraternity member also took a plea deal last month. Thomas A. Shultz of Chesterfield, Missouri, pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor count of supplying alcohol to a minor. He is currently in the Boone County Jail for 30 days of shock jail time.

Alec Bradley Wetzler, 21, of St. Louis, also pleaded guilty last month to supplying liquor to a minor and buying liquor as a minor, both misdemeanors. A sentencing hearing is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 6.

Samuel Morrison also appeared in court Monday and is expected to go to trial in September or October. He is charged with hazing.

Another defendant charged with hazing had a hearing on Monday. Samuel Gandhi’s next hearing is set for June 12.

Santulli in 2021 was allegedly forced to drink large amounts of vodka, and then was taken to a hospital in a private car after he became unresponsive. Santulli was left unable to walk, talk or see after the incident
