Five suspects involved in various murder cases set to face Boone County judges

Five people charged in various murders around Boone County are set to face a judge today.
The first murder suspect is set to appear at the Boone County courthouse at 10 a.m. Isaiah Charles Brunson is facing second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Jermaine Spain.
Some may recall Brunson's case which happened in November of 2020. Court documents say Brunson went to a park to help sell marijuana to a group of people. Police said Brunson told officers a group started shooting during the drug deal.
19-year-old Jermaine Spain was shot and killed in the process.
In a second case, which happened earlier this year, Emma Adams is accused of murdering Samuel Clemons, a University of Missouri student and trying to burn his body. Adams is charged with second-degree murder, and abandoning a corpse among several other charges.
Adams is set to have a hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
Mark Achterberg is accused of a deadly shooting and is set to appear in court Monday afternoon.
Achterberg is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Court documents say in November 2021, deputies were called to a home off North Kent Dr. in Columbia and found a man shot.
That victim, Justin Stidham claimed Achterberg had shot him.
In the next case, Oscar Ashford is accused of being involved in a shooting in February of last year.
That shooting led to the death of 15-year-old Aubry Doxley. Ashford is accused of driving the car which another suspect; 16-year-old Samarion Robins shot from.
Robins is also set to appear in court Monday afternoon as the two are being tried together. Robins faces second-degree murder and armed criminal action among several other charges.
Robins is one of three teens charged in the death of Aubry Doxley.
According to online court records, a jury trial for the third suspect charged in the shooting which killed Aubry Doxley is set for mid-October.
