Russellville man flown to University Hospital after crash in Cole County

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ.)

A Russellville man was flown to the University Hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Cole County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened Wednesday evening, on Highway A and Stettlen Rd.

Troopers say 60-year-old, Kevin Kirchner was traveling westbound in a 2019 Polaris 1000 when he failed to negotiate a curve. Kirchner then traveled off the right side of the road, began to skid and crossed over Stettlen Rd. before skidding through a ditch and overturning his vehicle.

Troop F says when Kirchner overturned, he hit a sign and tree and was thrown from his vehicle.
