Tracking several rounds of storms the next few days
TODAY: Conditions are muggy but mostly dry for Sunday with highs again in the upper 80s. Isolated thunderstorms could pop up during the heat of the afternoon but similar to yesterday, almost all of this activity will be suppressed by warm air.
TONIGHT: A cold front will approach from the northwest overnight, triggering a sweeping line of storms with severe wind damage possible. These will move through just after midnight and continue through the first hours of sunrise tomorrow.
EXTENDED: Remain weather aware Monday for another round of strong storms possible in the afternoon. This activity will be more isolated, focused around the I-44 corridor. These afternoon storms could bring all severe hazards, especially winds and hail. The rest of the week still faces steady low-end rain chances stemming from an active upper level pattern.
