Columbia man accused of stabbing woman, charged with domestic assault, other felonies
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly stabbing a woman in the head.
Trey Allen Keith, 26, is charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed-criminal action and parental kidnapping. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. A court date has yet to be set.
The alleged victim told Columbia police that the assault occurred after an argument. She was asked to take someone for a dental appointment, according to a heavily redacted probable cause statement. The woman was getting ready and put on a wig when Keith allegedly asked her who she was “looking sexy” for, and she allegedly replied “no one.”
Keith then started to argue with the woman and then allegedly hit, scratched and stabbed her, according to the statement. A Columbia police officer saw scratches on the woman’s arms, neck and face; as well as bruising on her head where she was allegedly stabbed.
The woman was told Keith drove off with someone– whose name and affiliation were redacted in the probable cause statement – and threatened to leave the state with them.
Keith allegedly called the woman several times while police were at the residence. Police allegedly heard crying in the background of the phone calls. Police “pinged” Keith’s phone and it was discovered he was in Jefferson City.
