Mizzou long snapper earns invite to Chiefs rookie camp
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou long snapper Jake Hoffman will join the Kansas City Chiefs for rookie camp in May.
The Kearney, Mo. native spent five seasons with the Tigers, appearing in all 13 games in both his junior and senior. He first took over as MU's primary long snapper in 2019, his sophomore year. In that time he brought some consistency to the position, after Mizzou had struggled in that position the year prior.
He did make some special teams tackles in his career in Columbia. The first came in 2019 against Southeast Missouri State. He finished his time in the black and gold with five total tackles.
Hoffman is the third Tiger to get an opportunity, after going un-drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. Safety Martez Manuel signed with the Chiefs as an un-drafted rookie free agent on Saturday night, then defensive end DJ Coleman signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
