Tracking a persistent breeze under abundant sunshine
TODAY: It's a bright and breezy day today, with abundant sunshine being just enough to get temperatures into the low 60s. Northwest winds sustained near 20 mph will keep us breezy and cool through Monday afternoon.
TONIGHT: We'll stay mostly clear, with a light breeze overnight. Temperatures will fall into the high 30s overnight.
EXTENDED: Tuesday is a very similar forecast, with sunny, breezy, and cool conditions, yet just a few degrees warmer than Monday. High pressure finally nudges those winds away on Wednesday, with sunny and nearly calm conditions forecast for midweek. Temperatures by Wednesday afternoon will just cross 70 degrees. A warm front lifts through the region on Thursday, enough of a change to bump temps by a degree or two, and to instigate a few showers and thunderstorms. The chance for rain is greatest after the noon hour. More rain chances show up on Friday and Saturday, although chances are more hit and miss. At the same time, we'll continue to warm into the mid-70s by Saturday. Sunday looks like it may all come to a head with temperatures reaching upper-70s ahead of a cold front that brings another chance of thunderstorms.
