Jefferson City business fails alcohol compliance check for fifth time
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
According to police, this is the fifth time that the location of We B Smoking on Missouri Boulevard in Jefferson City has failed an alcohol compliance check.
The Jefferson City police department says three businesses did not check for a minor's ID before selling alcohol to them. The Police Department, along with the Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control and the Jefferson City Council for Drug-Free Youth conducted checks to make sure businesses follow this law.   Â
Officials checked 16 businesses in total. The three that failed include We B Smokin, Macadoodles and Natural Grocers, all located on Missouri Boulevard.
The businesses were cited and must appear in municipal court for selling alcohol to minors. The Division of Alcohol and Tobacco will take further action, depending on how many previous violations each business has.
