Mizzou defense takes a hit as defensive end Arden Walker enters the portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou defensive end Arden Walker announced on Twitter Friday afternoon his decision to enter the transfer portal.

The 6-foot-2, 252 pound sophomore played in 12 total games last season for the Tigers totaling six tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

Walker made his first-career start in the regular season finale against Arkansas and also started in the bowl game against Wake Forest. He was expected to be a starter on Blake Baker's defense this upcoming season.

He enters the portal with three years of eligibility remaining.
