She first committed to the Tigers in Oct. 2022, before the start of her senior season at Chicago's Whitney Young High School.

In a social media post, Jones said, "I would like to thank the University of Missouri coaching staff for the time that they have spent recruiting me and embracing me to be apart of their program." She went on to say she will be reopening her recruitment.

Mizzou went 18-14 overall through the 2022-23 season, with a 6-10 conference record. Head coach Robin Pingeton and company missed fell out of the SEC Tournament after one game and got knocked out in the second round of the WNIT by rival Kansas.

Pingeton's 2023 class does still include former Grain Valley standout Grace Slaughter and Jefferson City alum Hannah Linthacum.
