Woman charged with burglary, other felonies, after allegedly breaking into house and firing gun
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia woman faces several charges after she allegedly broke into a house and fired a gun.
Jada Isabell, 27, is charged with first-degree, unlawful use of a weapon, armed-criminal action – all felonies -- and fourth-degree domestic assault, a misdemeanor. She is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. A court date has yet to be set, according to Casenet.
Isabell allegedly broke into a Columbia house through a back window and threated a woman with a gun, according to the probable cause statement. A Columbia police officer allegedly heard a gunshot when he arrived to the house. The address was redacted in the probable cause statement.
A witness allegedly told police she saw Isabell with a gun, threatened the alleged victim and allegedly shot the gun.
The victim allegedly told police she used to live with Isabell and was threatened throughout the night. She allegedly showed police a text message from Isabell stating, “I’m pistol whippin u n whoever else can get popped.” Isabell was also allegedly not invited to the house that night, according to the probable cause statement.
The alleged victim showed police an open window with a popped screen where Isabell allegedly climbed in. A gun was picked up from police from a bed.
Isabell allegedly told police she climbed through a back window with a gun and that she always carries a gun. She allegedly told police that she believe the gun was on “safe” and it was fired when she and the victim were fighting over it.
