Moberly Animal Shelter puts hold on animal intake

MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Moberly Animal Shelter and Control announced on its Facebook page that the shelter is temporarily on an intake hold, due to capacity.

“We are on an INTAKE HOLD until further notice. We have 22 total dogs we are caring for right now with 14 of those being here at the shelter,” according to a social media post. “With one person caring for this many dogs 4 days out of the week... we simply can not keep up with the calls or the care of the dogs.”

The shelter recommended that residents who are missing a dog, should to contact them.

“Keep your dogs secured at all times so they are not at a risk of being picked up. If you are missing a dog please contact us to see if maybe we have it here. 660-833-7330,” the shelter wrote.

Adoptable dogs can be viewed on its website.
