Tergin’s term as Jefferson City mayor comes close to end

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City is saying goodbye to its mayor, Carrie Tergin as she finishes the end of her term.

The mayor is elected for four years, with an eight-year consecutive term limit. A full four-year mayoral term must pass before they are eligible to serve as mayor again.

Ron Fitzwater was elected to take her place during the April 4 election.

Before becoming mayor, Tergin served on the council for the fourth ward for six years.
