Nice warm up Monday and Tuesday, snow melts away

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold. Lows in the mid-upper 20s.

MONDAY: Variably cloudy and breezy. Highs in the upper 40s to around 50.

EXTENDED: Temperatures remain well above average through Wednesday despite a quick disturbance sliding by on Tuesday night into Wednesday. Parts of the area may see a few showers into early Wednesday, but temperatures will remain in the upper 40s. By Thursday, temperatures cool back into the upper 30s to around 40 with our next storm system arriving with much more moisture by Thursday night. Temperatures may be cool enough Thursday night for a brief wintry mix, but we'll likely be on the warmer side of the system into Friday, with measurable rain expected. Timing will be important with this system as temperatures will be in the upper 20s on Saturday morning as it exits, meaning precipitation could end as snow showers. Stay with ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather as the system evolves this week.
