SAN FRANCICSO, Ca. (KMIZ)

After winning the first two games of the series, the Kansas City Royals couldn''t complete the sweep over the San Francisco Giants. Sunday, KC fell in game three 3-1.

Both teams had just five hits on the day, but the difference maker for San Fran came in the eighth inning putting together three runs.

The Royals lone RBI of the day came from Salvador Perez, plus Vinne Pasquantino went two-for-three.

Kris Bubic was dominated on the mound for KC pitching six scoreless innings and recording nine strikeouts. Ryan Yarbrough came in for relief and gave up the three eighth inning runs.

Despite the loss, the Royals still won the series 2-1 and now stand at 3-7 on the season. Up next, they'll stay on the road for a three-game series with the Rangers starting Monday at 7:05 p.m.
